American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) is the source of performance standards, product certification and educational programs for the window, door, and skylight industry.

Value of Certified Products

The AAMA Certification Label that appears on the majority of residential windows means that a sample of the product has been tested and conforms to performance standards for air and water infiltration at the specified pressures, structural integrity, and resistance to forced entry.

In addition, the label means that samples of major component parts of the window or door assembly have also been tested and conform to applicable performance standards.
